Anti-Eavesdropping Films (Blocking RF and IR)
- SD films are characterized by a high level of attenuation of radio frequency (RF) waves and infrared (IR) radiation. Additionally, they provide high visible light transmission and a low reflectance factor, resulting in minimal impact on the aesthetics of the window on which they are applied. In 2000, the U.S. Department of Defense conducted a technical study of SD films using the Counter-Measures (TSCM) procedure, stating: "The use of SD films is the most cost-effective way to limit eavesdropping and similar spying techniques."
- SD films meet the high standards of U.S. security agencies NSA and CCS (National Security Agency and Central Security Service) and other U.S. government agencies, complying with ICD 705 and 702 standards. The radio frequency (RF) attenuation performance of SD films allows protection for wireless technologies, including Wireless LAN and 802.11, preventing the penetration of unwanted radio signals into the client environment.
- These films also shield against emitted electromagnetic interference. Additionally, they protect 99.9% against harmful UV radiation, which is damaging to humans and destructive to objects. Both products mentioned above have versions with added anti-burglary protection (SD 2510 and SD 1010).
